Sebastian’s sons were previously shot dead on different occasions. First, his son Trigo was shot in the back of the head after one of his father’s concerts in Mission, Texas on August 27, 2006. Trigo was the security coordinator of his father’s tour but was unfortunately killed by some of his father’s followers who were alleged to be approaching Joan Sebastian for an autograph.

Secondly, the late musician’s other son Juan was shot dead on June 12, 2010, in Cuernavaca, Morelos, after arriving at a nightclub with some friends. Some reports have alleged that the incident had something to do with the Mexican drug cartels. This is however yet to be confirmed.

While 2 of Sebastian’s kids died of gunshot wounds the late Mexican singer survived cancer 3 times but gave up the 4th time. He died at the age of 64 and his body was laid in a cemetery in Juliantla, close to Trigo his son.

The entertainer’s family lawyer Cipriano Sotelo also said Sebastian left behind 51 properties in different Mexican states. Cipriano further claimed that a good number of the properties were not in good shape and needed urgent attention.

While this has remained the position of their family lawyer, Joan’s youngest child Juliana Sebastian claimed that their father owned other assets and also other bank accounts that were not revealed.

Joan’s youngest child Juliana Joeri has been in the news the most as she repeatedly accused her half-brothers of being dishonest. According to an Instagram video she shared, Juliana claims her brothers did not open up to her about the entire properties her father left behind.

Her brothers have however denied these allegations and the lawyer for the testamentary succession of Joan Sebastian, Cipriano Sotelo has said the heirs of late Joan’s fortune are all his 6 children who are alive. He also said the other 2 would have been Trigo and Juan Sebastian but their children will the part that corresponds to their late parents. Joan Sebastian’s Kids May Need to Sell all their Father’s Landed Properties Before Inheritance Distribution will be Finalized

Given the intensity of the rivalry existing between his kids Joan’s legal representative has said that it may be difficult to evenly distribute the Musician’s properties. He has however proposed that the properties could be put up for sale. After which, the money realized will be shared equally shared among his heirs.
